New promo Photo.

Glenn's always coming up with crazy ideas, I think that's why I like working with him, because he sparks my creativity and makes me experiment, plus I think it's that little bit of English eccentricity that I love. This time Glenn came up with the idea of a promo shot on a road bridge, in winter, at night, with all these light streaks and stuff. Well I had never done this type of photography before so it was all experimental, luckily I caught what he wanted with the first shot, So here it is.

Old Songs, New Album.

I've not been keeping up with my Blogging duties, how very naughty of me. But the fact is we have been remixing old songs to make a new album and it's not far from finished. The songs we have remixed were the songs we first made, when we new very little about producing and although they hold fond memories and they had some decent tunes among them, they did not have the same polish as the tracks we produce now. The remixes have come out totally different and I think it's going to be a cracking album, which should be out sometime after Christmas.

Pocket Full of Stardust. New Track by MG.

It's time to put a bit of glam back in your life, when you thought the likes of T Rex, Sweet and Slade had died. Here's MG with a Glam rock inspired track. Only Glenn's warped imagination could come up with this, but it's so dam catchy. Listen out for the Adam Ant style drums.

The Iron Duke. A new track from MG, A scary tune, just in time for Halloween.

We had another very productive session the other day.Glenn had this track nearly written when I came in on the act, I made little tweaks here and there but most of it is Glenn's work.

Again we are working with heavier sounds and I think that there is a little horror influence just for Halloween.

New Track, Feed on the energy.

This is an interesting song, all taken from heavy metal instruments, mixed with modern synths and vocalized by the singer from Master Charger, altogether one powerful track.

MG's new track. Pills don't work.

While I've been away Glenn's been busy as usual, He did play me part of this track before he went away and I loved the bass line. This is what Glenn says about the track. "A fat big beat, groovey, electronic dance indie track" and who can argue with that. Here it is in all it's glory, let us know what you think.

Bang Bang. Banging new tune.

Well I haven't done any kind of stuff with Glenn for ages, because of work and other projects. But last week we got together at last and the chemistry started to flow again, like we had never been apart (ooh er missus). Glenn had already wrote this tune and he wanted my opinion on it. I said "don't change a thing", I thought it was already an excellent tune and Glenn does like to tinker with things. So with that I tried my first ever go at mixing the track, I'm sure Glenn will have refined it a little, just to take my rough edges off, but I still like the sound we got, well take a listen, let us know what you think.

Long time coming, But here's a new track by MG.

The tracks called Music in Town and it's a funky little ditty, I hope you enjoy it. I am going to start to get my arse in gear and do more stuff for MG, I've been to busy with my other work, it's about time I got back down to doing some music.

Monday 15 April 2013

I've not posted for a while, as we have been working on different things, me a video and Glenn a lot of remixes, But Glenn has managed to get a track he wrote released with DSMusic (good on ya Glenn) and a cracking tune it is too. Entitled Get On Up, however DSMusic seem to have got the title slightly wrong, but we will forgive them. Here it is anyway.

My First Bryce Landscape.

When I set out to do this blog, it was not supposed to be about just the music we produced, But also about our creative journey and part of that journey was to discover an learn how to use different creative software. So here is my first attempt at using Bryce for creating landscapes.

You can download Bryce for free from here. http://www.daz3d.com/products/bryce/bryce-what-is-bryce
and this is the excellent tutorial I used to create this picture. http://vimeo.com/19987404
Bryce is a 3D program, originally for creating landscapes, but it is possible to create other things with it too, I first used it to create a material for the figure on our cover for 'Bored of living in my mind'. But as you see there is so much potential in this amazing software, I will certainly be using it again.
